The Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission invites you to come to Eureka’s Sequoia Park for the second 2017 Movies in the Park outdoor movie screening. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) will be the feature film for the month of June.

In the newest movie of this much loved franchaise, the Rebel Alliance makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow.

The free event starts at 7:00 PM with music, continues with Loony Tunes cartoons, with the feature film starting at dusk, around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 24 at 3600 W Street in Eureka. The public is encouraged to dress warmly and arrive at 7:00 PM to enjoy music provided by local musician Michael Dayvid and find a place on the lawn for blankets and lawn chairs. Popcorn, candy, and refreshments will be available by donation.

There will be an information table set up on site with Film Commission volunteers answering questions about the non-profit organization’s mission of promoting film in the Redwood Region and the services offered to film productions.

The remaining dates of the season are July 22 with Disney's Moana, and August 19 with The Neverending Story.

The Film Commission would like to thank its community sponsors: Redwood Capital Bank, Coast Central Credit Union, Pierson Building Center, Surfside Burger Shack, Ming Tree Realtors, Royal Gold Potting Soil, Minor Theatre, Harper Motors, Humboldt Wholesale, GHD Engineering Group Inc, Red Lion Hotel Eureka, Living the Dream Ice Cream, Humboldt Motorsports, House and Garden Nutrients, Humboldt Performance Automotive, Humboldt Republic, Mid City Motor World, Fin-N-Feather Pet Shop, Ramone's Bakery & Cafe, The Mill Yard, North Coast Journal, Wildberries Marketplace, Old Town Coffee & Chocolates, Stonesthrow Boutique, Realtor Emily Ruscoe of Community Realty, Nu Games, and the North Coast Co-op.
